About Calcudoku

A 6×6 number grid mixed with a little arithmetic.

The rules

  • Use each number 1 to 6 exactly once in every row and every column.
  • Thick outlines mark cages. The small label in a cage gives a target and an operation.
  • The numbers in a cage must make the target with that operation: + add them, × multiply them, − the difference between two numbers, ÷ the larger divided by the smaller.
  • A cage with just a number is a single square holding that number.
  • A number may repeat inside a cage, as long as it isn’t in the same row or column.

How to play

  • Tap a square, then tap a number. Use Notes for possibilities and Erase to clear.
  • Clashing numbers turn orange, and a cage label turns orange when its cage is full but doesn’t add up.

Tip: fill single-square cages first, then two-square ÷ and − cages, which have the fewest options.
